Profile of Shraddha Ray Menon

BA Hons. (Economics) from Bombay University, Gold Medalist in LL.B. Symbiosis College, Pune University 1996 with a course in Contracts and Corporate Finance, College of Law, York (UK) through a British Chevenning Scholarship 1999, Shraddha specializes in corporate commercial law. She has had long years of law firm experience with Firms’ like Thakker & Thakker, AZB & Partners, Sighania & Co. in Mumbai followed with an in-house counsel position with Coca-Cola India.

As founder of Ray Menon Law, she is engaged in consulting and advising on Indian law, drafting-negotiating various categories of contracts in support of diverse businesses. In her years as a corporate lawyer, she engaged in mainstream Mergers and Acquisition practice including advisory work on India inbound investment, establishment of green field projects, incorporated and unincorporated partnering, due diligence, legal audits in M&A and Corporate Finance briefs, partial and 100% acquisitions. Rendered mainstream corporate finance advice including the establishment of debt and equity instruments, standardization of securitization and loan documentation for a prime Indian bank and project finance.

In the project space, she has advised on road building, power and telecommunication projects and has been active in the print and electronic media space. She has engaged with globally owned Indian entities and advised on their domestic regulatory compliance and operational challenges, parameters and obligations.

In addition to the foregoing, as an in house counsel, she has, acquired skills and competencies in dealing with nationwide marketing and distribution challenges arising from company owned and franchised bottler arrangements. She has a business focused approach in resolving operational issues associated with vendor management, procurement and supply chain management in the manufacturing space. She is familiar with the compliance landscape associated with the food and beverage industry and has been involved with the initiative to restructuring business under bottler’s franchisee and contract packer model.

In a recent project, the firm prepared and implemented a detailed marketing plan for a mid-sized law firm based out of Gurgaon in the context of enhancing the existing practice. The comprehensive marketing plan and SOPs created were sensitized to the Firm’s existing practice, client base, Partners aspirations and team integration. The solutions provided were personalized solutions as opposed to a generic ones.
